These are high-pressure times for the Chargers (6-7 SU, 7-5-1 ATS), who likely need to win out to have a chance at a wild-card berth.

Their biggest remaining challenge comes Thursday night in Denver (8:25 p.m. ET, NFL Network). The Broncos (11-2 SU, 8-5 ATS) have already beaten San Diego once this season, prevailing 28-20 as 7-point favorites on the Chargers’ home turf in Week 10. Now, the Chargers have to go on the road to deal with the Broncos and on a short week of preparation.

The Broncos have won the last four matchups between the clubs, covering in three of those games. They are 3-0 straight-up and 2-1 vs. the number in Peyton Manning’s starts against San Diego.

The Broncos have been a tremendous OVER bet this season. The OVER has hit in 11 of 13 Denver games in 2013, and it has cashed in 22 of 30 games in which Manning has played for the Broncos. By contrast, though the Chargers have a reputation for potent offense, they are just 6-7 to the OVER in 2013.

The Chargers need two wins in their final three games to clear their season win total of 7.5 at the LVH SuperBook. As of early September, the OVER was +120 with the UNDER -140. The Broncos, meanwhile, need one win to go OVER their season win total of 11.5 (OVER +105, UNDER -125).

The Chargers-Broncos rematch is the last Thursday-night NFL game of the season. Overall, home teams are 7-8-1 against the spread on Thursdays in 2013.

Line: Broncos -10.5, Total: 57.5

Line movement and notes: The line returned to its opener of Denver -10.5 after early San Diego money briefly bought it down to -10. On Thursday morning, 10.5 was the number being dealt unanimously across Las Vegas.

The total has seen substantial upward movement throughout the week.   It opened opened in the 54 to 54.5 range, but OVER money has pushed it north to as high as 58.
