Wild-Card Round Point Spreads Set – Packers Home Dogs Against 49ers

@TheLinemakers

With the NFL playoff field now set, wagering is open on the wild-card round, and Super Bowl 48 odds have been updated at the LVH SuperBook.

The Seahawks, at 2-to-1, remain the favorite to win the title.   They are the odds-on choice to win the NFC.  The Broncos are 3-to-1 to win it all and 5-to-8 to win the AFC.

The Packers, who host the 49ers on Sunday, are the only home underdog in next weekend’s wild-card round.  San Francisco opened -1 at the LVH SuperBook, and the line was quickly bet up to -2.5.

The 49ers are seeking their fourth consecutive win and cover against the Packers since the beginning of the 2012 season. The 49ers have racked up a combined 1,073 yards and 79 points in the last two meetings with Green Bay.  The Niners beat the Pack in San Francisco in last season’s playoffs, 45-31, as 3-point favorites.

Saturday’s two wild-card games both feature spreads of less than a field goal, as the Colts are 2.5-point home favorites over the Chiefs, and the Eagles are laying 2.5 against the Saints in Philadelphia.

The Bengals – who sport an unblemished 8-0 record, both straight up and against the spread, this season – opened -6.5 over the Chargers and were bet up to -7 Sunday night.

Of course, we’ll have all kinds of coverage here at The Linemakers on Sporting News ahead of these games, including videos and picks from our experts in Las Vegas, selections and analysis from The Quants, in-depth betting previews and much, much more!

Line of the day

“ Oregon is a 14.5-point favorite for today's Alamo Bowl against Texas. We wonder about the Ducks' motivation in this spot, and they've failed to cover in four straight games. ”
