NBA D-League Season Tips November 14 The 14th NBA D-League season tips off Nov. 14 with an all-time high 18 teams. New for the 2014-15 season, the NBA D-League will feature two conferences, East and West, each broken into two divisions.    2014-15 Affiliation System Announced With a record 17 teams having 'one-to-one' NBA D-League affiliations, the NBA and NBA D-League announced the affiliation system for the 2014-15 season. The league also implements a new flexible assignment system.    Santa Cruz to Host 2015 Showcase The Santa Cruz Warriors will host the NBA D-League Showcase presented by Samsung at the Kaiser Permanente Arena from Jan 15-19. It will feature all 18 teams playing two games apiece in a new in-season tournament format, the Showcase Cup.    Oklahoma City Blue Logo Released The Oklahoma City Thunder announced that its NBA D-League affiliate will be called the Blue. The team's logo was also released. The team was previously known as the Tulsa 66ers.    Knicks Draft 16 in Expansion Draft In the team's first step in forming its 2014-15 roster, the Westchester Knicks selected 16 players from the available player pool through the 2014 NBA D-League Expansion Draft. The Knicks will hold the rights to those players for two seasons.
