One week after saying that I'll hopefully only be sending out the Thursday night pick separately once this year, I do it for a second time.
Well played, Dave, well played.
The Kings home opener last night put me behind schedule for the week, and try as a I might I couldn't catch up on everything in time to get this whole thing out at a reasonable hour.
So lets try this again next week. For now, Thursday night pick now, rest of the week tomorrow!
THE PICKS
($) - Indicates a "Pick", which is a side that I feel strongly about
(/) - Indicates a "Lean", which is the side that I'm leaning towards
(?) - Indicates a "Coin Flip", where I don't have much of an opinion
* - Indicates Outright Upset Pick
THURSDAY
($) Indianapolis (-3.0) @ Houston (+3.0)
This is one of many picks that have a weird and trappy vibe to them. What's not to love about Indianapolis, that has looked excellent on both sides of the ball for the last three weeks, against a Houston team that has struggled badly on offense? Even if the Texans defense does keep Luck somewhat in check, they'll likely have to score more than 13-17 points to beat the Colts, and against everyone but the Raiders the offense just hasn't been there. Maybe I'm walking into a trap, but logic and the numbers both back a play on the Colts tonight.
PICK WITH THE SPREAD: Indianapolis
PICK WITHOUT THE SPREAD: Indianapolis
