Turner Named New NBA D-League President The NBA named longtime sports executive Malcolm Turner President of the NBA Development League effective Nov. 12. Turner will oversee the business and basketball operations for the NBA D-League and its 18 teams.    2014 Draft Recap 122 players were selected in the 2014 NBA D-League Draft Live via Cisco WebEx, including eight players with NBA experience and seven who will be eligible for the 2015 NBA Draft. The Grand Rapids Drive drafted Robert Covington with the No. 1 pick.    Record 117 Alums on NBA Opening Day Rosters Out of the 446 players on opening day rosters, an all-time high 117 of them have NBA D-League experience, representing more than a quarter of the league's talent pool.    How NBA D-League Rosters Are Built Putting together an NBA D-League roster is a complicated process.
