| Upon news that Manny Pacquiao has agreed to terms for a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr., the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook opened Mayweather as the -275 favorite for the potential bout, with Pacquiao getting back odds of +235 as the underdog. The Westgate's price on Mayweather is on the high end of what's being dealt around Las Vegas. The Wynn last month opened the fight Mayweather -260/Pacquiao +220 , and those odd have not changed since. William Hill U.S. prices the fight at Mayweather -250/Pacquiao +210. Conversely, the SuperBook's price on the underdog is the most attractive of the three books. After years of failed negotiations, the fight is as close to being made as it's ever been. Pacquiao and his promoter, Top Rank, have agreed to terms for a May 2 bout at MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Under those terms, Pacquiao will earn 40 percent of the purse. Mayweather has suggested that he would not accept an equal share of the purse. Pacquiao has also agreed to USADA drug-testing standards, a sticking point in past negotiations. "I think that Manny agreed to USADA testing shows you his eagerness to make this fight," Top Rank's Carl Moretti told ESPN. |
