Women's World Cup co-favorites USA, Germany in action

@TheLinemakers

The USA and Germany are listed as co-favorites at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook to win the Women's World Cup ahead of today's quarterfinals.

Both teams are in action today, with Germany facing France in the early kickoff (4 p.m. ET), followed by U.S. and China in primetime (7:30 p.m. ET).  Both games are on Fox.

The line on the U.S. increased to as high as -270 before returning to its opener of -235.  Early money came in on the Americans despite the team missing two starting midfielders, including Megan Rapinoe, who has shined during the tournament and played a part in several goals.

China is nearly 8-to-1 underdog.

If you're willing to lay a goal with a spread bet, the U.S. is available a cheaper price of -130.

The total has seen a huge adjustment, with action on the UNDER pushing the number from 2.5 goals (UNDER -145) to 2 goals (OVER -125).

Germany figures to have a tougher go of it against France, the co-third betting choice on the Westgate's futures board.  The Germans are available at even-money odds, with the French priced at 3-to-1.

The winners of Friday's games play each other in Tuesday's semifinal.

The two other quarterfinals – Australia vs. Japan and England vs. Canada – are set for Saturday.

Here are Women's World Cup futures odds, as well as lines for Friday's games, posted at the SuperBook.
